Hi!
Is it possible to change the "Message" sound in TipicME?
And what about a "Log on" message? Can I add this someplace?

I think that tipic uses the default phone alert beep. So as far as I can see you wouldn't be able to change this in the .jar. (I could be wrong though) But you can change most of the images it uses. just use winrar to open up the .jar file and have a look around.

also you can drop a line to [email protected] just add them to ur list and they'll get back to you promptly in my experience.

OK.
I've search the phone for music files, but can't find the one TipicME use.
I've also send a mail to Tipic's support. I'll post the answer here when I get a reply from them.

Hi, perhaps I wasn't clear. Do you mean the simple beep that the program makes when you recieve a message?

If so then this beep is the default symbian alert tone, which I'm presuming is hidden within the os. I don't think that its possible to change the sound that the os uses to notify you of a completed task or alert. (when you roam or when the battery reaches full charge or if the wap page is unaccessable etc)

If it's a different sound that you get then perhaps it's hidden in one of the class files.

wrt the images used, I've changed those and the midlet still works fine.

Yes, thats the tone I ment.
I've looked in the TipicME folders but can't find any tones. If it's in the class files, how can I edit them?

Hi again, I thought that must be the tone, as it's the only one I have when using the program.

I'm not certain, but I don't think there is any way of altering the tone within any of the tipic code. I think that tipic just tells the os to use the default alert beep. So the only way I can see to alter the tone that tipic uses would be to alter the tone that the phone uses for everything that the beep would normally sound for.

I don't know how to do this unfortunately.

If you find a way, please post it.

Yes, I will look at it.
But how do I edit class files? Which program should I use?
