can anyone help me? I need a hot air station but I dont know where to get one cheap, the likes of www.hkgsm.com sell them for about £120 but I'm not sure if theyre safe to deal with. is there anyone in the UK who sell them at a similar price?

I know theyre cheap, nasty and not very reliable but I'm used to this. this realisation comes as I have found that I have 3 nokia 8210's which all need a re-flow of the cobba or hagar or both. these phones still fetch around £40-50 where I live and I have about 5-6 3310/30's which also need re-flowing or new hagars.

I have tried re-flowing by using a pencil blow torch at about 3-4 inches from the IC, this only seems to work for removing the IC's, Its still a bit too much trying to replace them using the same method.

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

p.s a cheap and nasty fix for bad cobba or hagar connections is two double sided sticky pads pressed into the plastic back of the 8210 (opposite where the hagar and cobba are on the PCB), this applies uniform pressure to the chip and usualy cures the fault in the short term. all 3 of my 8210's are currently working using this method. you can get ideal sticky pads from poundland, 320 for £1.
