Now you mention it, i'm not so sure about the 104, could be either, but i have read that it was 104mhz somewhere, but it wasnt an official source so could have been wrong

Yeah, Mosser, you right. Because NOKIA dont release the speed official.

But what is the difference? One newer phone has a speed of 200 MHz.

We can nothing do for this, but is like a desktop computer: Not only the processor speed is important. In our case (phone) we have other restrications and they are very bad. Less memory and more. You know it.

Before we get a faster processor, Nokia has do other important things at a 7650i.

- MMC Card
- BT Audio
- Triband
- stronger battery
- Camera lens from 3650
- Stereo
- a better speaker (not the poor version inside)
- self changing cover (for scratches)
- a Kit for the body from metal (Titanium, aluminium)

great features
but my friend
whats the point of producing another 60 symbian mobile
i think the 7650i should use 70 series same as in SE and a touch screen.

what u have mentioned is already in 3650 so whats the point of producing another one.

Hi, BlueMaskR,

you alright, ok. But in Germany we can buy phones at 2 ways: Without contract, price is ~ 500 - 600 Euros. And have you bought one with a contract, you pay only 1 to 250 Euros (different to models and ages of the models). But such a contract is fix for 2 Years. But Nokia and others are releasing phones every month new with allways better features.

You, as an technican friend, want to have always the best. But this is not possible. I have my 7650 since november 02, and the memory is the main prob. The 3650 is much better (but not the keypads and the size >lenght). But no, I can't buy new phones or new contracts. Thats impossible, I m not a riche man.

Now to the Thread again:

I dont think, that Nokia release a heritage phone of 7650 with Symbian OS 7.

History:
7650 is a Multi Media phone in business look (memory >shit)
3650 is an alternative within the 3 series, not business, like fun phone.

And I mean, that the critical users wrote to Nokia that the round keypad at the 3650 is not the best solution. But OS 7 will work with a touchscreen - sounds cool, but you must have two hands for using - thats uncomfortable.

My basic functions for a phone must be: large Screen (3650/7650 and one-hand-using. And for the much, much new software: MMC-card slot.

The only thing that keeps me from buying a p800 (after I find the money...) is the lack of a joystick and the f***ing memory stick duo!!! Cm'on nokia guys!!! Do your wonder and give us a 3G 7650 with the full pack of goods!!!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Ermm... did you guys notice that the thread suddenly turned from a question about the processor speed to a wishlist for the new nokia phone :}?

Jumping back to the thread: as said a couple of times before me, the processor that runs 7650 is a 104 mHz one - you can check that out wit a freeware program called Phone Info (search for it on my-Symbian or Handango)

What amazes me about this 104 mHz processor is how it can encode an mpeg4 video practically in real time :}

May the SymbianForceOS be with you,
