Hi all!
Does anybody have any information about structure of LDB chunk (t9)? I've looked everywhere and nobody seems to know anything about it...
I study it a lot..if i had programing knowledge i could make a program for managing and patching LDB chunk but i dont have
First 4 bytes are the checksum of the chunk
The next 4 bytes are the lenght of the whole chunk..so if you you wanna add/remove a t9 from the Chunk you must recalculate the lenght and fix the checksums..
each t9 has 4 bytes lenght after ID..ID is another 4 bytes..for example 0000 000B is 11 which means GREEK t9
@Finn
If you want to add/remove language in LDB you can use PPMMaker, about checksums, IDs, Names etc look at http://www.geocities.com/nok5rev

Finn, yes, thanks for replying, I already knew those, but I'm looking for more specific information about structure or anything else that would help to manipulate LDB as the data itself seems to be highly compressed and it's propably encrypted also.
AI: Dont you want to upgrade PPMmaker with LDB editor? :D :D :D You release such good progs, and this upgrade would be amazing!! :p :eek:

You mean to edit the LDB and in expansion the dictionary itself(it's entries) so as to be able to add/remove/edit the words that the dictionary includes? Oh man really difficult to decrypt in my opinion! I do not know even if there is any information about the dictionary's structure...
But never say never... 62xx's text was considered to be uneditable but now as the decompression algorithm was found all these are history!!
Cheers!

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. There seems to be no information available about subject so I must find time to have a look at it...
Quickly looking with hxwshop there seems to be something like 4-6 different "parts" in LDB, actual word data being the largest part. It's gonna be great fun figuring out the meanings of those parts. =)
new words are being stored in eeprom and not in LDB chunk..LDB chunk only contains the keymap and a set of words for each t9..
ouppps Sorry AL. Thats why i hate these two words I and l :D :rolleyes:

A T9 editor would be really handy.
The T9 get's really useless when i write because I write too many words not listed in the wordlist.
I suppose there is no need to make a program for adding new words..it is useless..you add your own words when you need them
