can some body give me some info on 2100, what kind of phone is it based on? 3410 pcb? 3610pcb?

what features does it have??

I have found the flash addresses of this new 2100...

MCU--> 00200000-00360000
PPM--> 00360000-003F0000
EEPROM+PPM--> 003F0000-00400000

It seems that it has small memory as 3310 (2mb) As for the PCB judging by the product code(NAM-2) it may be similar to 3610's but all these are just guesswork...

I became with Rolis 4.77 flash and with the attitude of 8210.

Hi all
I felt like messing around with my 8210 (rom6) so i flashed 2100
software to it and the result was contact service in the corner but it was like looking in the mirror the reason for this (i think) is that the screen res is higher than an 8210 i think if we can get our hands on a virgin eeprom and a high resolution screen we should be able to convert our 8210/8850/ (rom6)/8250 into a functional 2100
i did this since they have a similer rom size

Or have you only flashed MCU+PPM?

When you have flashed only MCU+PPM it´s that you have Contact Service.

You need the Eprom from 2100.

Maybe Is the size of this 2100 is from 20-60? Just a guess.. And try to use KNOX phoenix to flash the phone, just like the case of those 5210, remember? This is just my guess of the problems...

try flashing a 5210 with the 2100 software, I think its the same architecture as the 8210 and it *might* have a higher res screen allthough I'm not sure on that one. plus you wont have to worry about memory size.

wouldn't it be more feasible to flash something with a larger display, for example a 6210, 82x0 88x0 5210 has a small screen, maybe the 5210 does have a higher resolution screen, but a 6210 has a larger display and the advantage of the higher resolution screen. or perhaps a 3350 or 3410, they have the same key layout and the high res screen, i dont have any of these phones available at present to test, 3350 3410 6210.

3330 ub4_v12 -> LCD wont even intialize, nothing works, like dead
8210 ROM5 -> LCD initializes but immediately shows all black
with one 8 pixel high white line streight through the LCD
and on shorter a little bit below, nothing works

get a 3310 with the latest hardware revision
(the revision with the keypad for the 3350 3410, but only the 2 mb chip)
put a 3410/3350 lcd on it

flash full flash of a 2100 on to phone

i will have to give it a try when i get the time
but for now does anyone else want to post some results?

I have done it on a 3410 and it does not work. However in 3310 which has 2mb flash IC may work... Give it a try and tell us!

after full flash phone is dead

The imei can't be change, so i think it won't work. 2100 imei hard to change the imei... :(
