Hi,
I have been playing around with my data cable and 7210 and i have some how managed to buggar up my operator logo. I have no idea how i did it.
When i now send a operator logo to my phone via WAP or data cable, and when i go to save it, it says saving failed. On the main screen with my wallpaper it just has a little ?
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
Thank You

Go into the Display settings and switch the Operator Logo to "Off".

What software did you use to change the operator logo the first time?

I bet you used mobi mb 1.2? There is a major fault in this program that is to do with the operator logo and wallpapers, its happens when you set a wallpaper as an operator logo.
I bet when you use the program mobi mb, and click on "reset to default" it deletes a wallpaper?
The problem is resolved in version 1.2.1

The only thing that i know can solve the problem is mobimb 1.2.1
Mike Bradley made it so that it rectifys that fault, but u'd have to buy the version directly from them.
The only other solution would be to take your phone back to where you bought it and tell them that its just started doing this for no apparant reason.
Where abouts are you from? If ur close, i would do it for u

You don't need a firware upgrade for transparent logos.
Just create a transparent gif (leave the .gif extension alone), upload it to your gallery and set it as op logo using MobiMB. That's it!
I'm using v3.09 with no problems. The difference with later firware versions is that standard op logos are automatically displayed with the background transparent.

Taz, try downloading an operator logo from a wap site then, it wont work, it will say saving failed. Are you using version 1.2 or 1.2.1 of mobi mb?

Fair point, I was only thinking about using a direct connection because the guy said he was using MobiMB. WAP is another issue!:p
Using 1.21

hehehe, theres no problem with 1.2.1 anyway, its just 1.2 theres the problem. If u use 1.2.1, this cures the problem :p

I know the solution but not the cause.
I think that now that you have changed your op logo from default 100 by 50 to a shrunk 128 by 128 you cannot download op logo in old format from wap. take the transparent gif (100 by 50) uploaded by someone else or the one that i will try to upload, you dont need to convert it too 128 by 128 or anything (this may cause it to lose its transparency). Use mobimb and copy and paste the transparent gif (i think it has to be gif not jpg) into your graphics folders using mobimb. Then once it is in there, right click it and set it to operator logo. this worked for me 100%.
However this doesnt revert your phone back to original where you could download normal 100 by 50 op logos from web and save them. If you ever change your op logo (it has to be done now by either oxygen or mobimb not wap) you can only get the transparent one back by using either mobimb or oxygen to set it as op logo. I have not tested succesfully with oxygen, i know it worked for me with mobimb
Hope this helps
I would like to help this forum however i can , since you guys helped me unlock my phone
