Do your friends also use the globe network?
Some networks ar so far unable to accept cross network MMS or they are slowly increasing the compatibale networks.
Here in the UK only cross network between orange and vodafone is currently available.
If you can send urself an mms then it's working fine on ur own network. If not then I'd contact them to see what's up.

Sorry I couldn't help. Has it recently stopped working or has it never worked?
try http://www.mmscontent.com/ and goto the free mms option and see if you can recieve them. You may have to join for this option, not too sure though.
Zero.

naka enable na ba ang MMS mo??? kasi ako hindi pa, kaya pls visit globe website to retrieve MMS din ako, dapat naka activate na, call 211 to activation, kaso hangang ngayon wala pa din activation ko, last year pa... im a prepaid subscriber, pero sabi nila pwede daw
u have to have both the senders and receivers mms.. smart comm. 's prepaid sims have mms and gprs.. fyi...
and you cant send mms acros networks.. smart to globe and vice versa..

@bert: It means your Globe MMS is not yet activated. Receiving such messages means only two things: your phone is not MMS capable or your MMS is not yet activated. So, you need to configure first your MMS access points and ask Globe to activate it. Or you need to activate it by sending special commands to Globe MMS defined numbers. (pls ask Globe CSR).
Globe is better than Smart (just an opinion). Am a GLobe post paid subscriber for over 4 years.
just an info...

globe better than smart? smart better than globe? hmmmm... u could try sun.. :p :p :p hehe..

try switching to SMART kasi when you buy a phone from them activated na agad. but if you switch sim to SMART you'll just text some messages like SET MMS to 211 and then youll receive the activation message.... TRY IT i work there hehehheeh

delub, wala naman smart sa amin.
quirino province. postpaid smart me at my home then change to prepaid globe at work for 2 years. so i finally shifted to
globe....
to myglobeph, configured naman sa wife ko
but how can i activate mms?, postpaid din sya and me.
your ******* company sucks. we buy phones we can not use
coz you ****** people do not configure it!!!
have 4 7650 and 2 3650 (am orthosurgeon) yet
it is useless when it comes to mms...dont even know how to activate it, cause there is no info dissemination.
if only smart can have a cellsite in cabarroguis quirino, all
doctors there will be using smart.kudos to smart for releasing the first HTC tanager smartphone. you guys beat orange and vodafone of uk in bringing this to the market.
but i hope globe guys will be more friendly to us consumers.

sfont,
I believe a site survey has been made on your area (Cabarroguis) and the proposed cell site is somewhere in Brgy. San Marcos.
As to your MMS queries, phone set-up must come together with MMS/GPRS Provisioning that should come at hand by your Network Provider. Your OPERATOR must have reason for not doing so (at the moment) coz activation should only take 5 mins top ( that is OTA-Over The Air transaction or via SMS command, as the other guys posted).
If you can't wait anymore... try considerin other provider just so you could use your phone features fully!!!

x2fer, san marcos, cabarroguis is where i work,
quirino provincial hospital.
when are they going to set it up so i can change
provider. my phones are all bought not from globe, so they are allopen lines.
thanks for the d info.
will tell all my friends to switch to smart once it is up.
almost all of us are using mms capable phones, all nokia
7650,7210,6610 6100 and se t68i., but alas, none had been able to send a single picture through globe.

im a globe user i can receive mms.if u r a line subscriber its much more easier i dnt know about ppaid subs.if u want to configure it try texting "go space n7650 send to 2951" and automtically globe will send u the configure settings of wap and mms.
sfont
12-03-2003, 04:41 PM
i already did that. myglobemms, myglobewap is configured but still
not able to use. some says i have to have it activated. i am a postpaid subscriber(line), yet globe do not have a guideline on how to activatete. went to their website but nothing in there, except the old pages on how to configure 7650, not even the 3650 was mentioned. sus ko day!

Thats what I have been poiting out guys. MMS/GPRS Phone activation/setting is useless unless your Provider had your account (mobile number) provisioned in their database (HLR-Home Location Register). They seem to have priorities when it comes to these things... and that sucks!
sfonts, you can try to check if your area/location (I mean the cell site) is enabled to carry out GPRS (which they should). Try activating your account (via sms as one the guys here posted) when you are in different locations and you should get a pushed-message via sms that your account has been activated.
The irony is that even postpaid and prepaid subs, even from MetroM Area seems to have experience/d the same.
I really hope you can settle these things with your provider.

im having problems with Globe too...
i have friends who have been sending MMS to me but i havent received a lot of em. When an MMS msg is sent, i get a "retrieving Message" popup on my fone but does not fetch my MMS.
I have all the configurations correct. I was able to get some MMS with my settings.
Though i have been a long time user of Globe, i tend to agree that Smart is better...

Receiving MMS @ Globe Process
1. One sends u an MMS
2. You receive a "retrieving message"
3. You go online using or phone and retrieve the Message (of course they will charge you)
4. Download the MMS message (another charge)
Receiving MMS @ Smart Process
1. One sends u an MMS
2. Automatically connects to GPRS (no charge)
3. Download the MMS message (no charge)
heres a suggestion..
> try purchasing a smart prepaid sim (they have a promo, its only Php199)..
> activated your mms (mms on, send to 333)..
> set your fone (set mms n7650, send to 211)
> try sending an mms msg.. its great!
just a suggestion though...

fez dats a great idea, though i subscribe to globe, my phone is open line cause i bought the unit myself at greenhills.
can you tell me how to activate mms in smart.
please.
Via sms,
> to activate your mms, key in MMS ON, and send to 333..
> to activate your gprs, key in GPRS ON, and send to 333
> to set your fone key in SET MMS N7650, send to 211
SET GPRS N7650, send to 211
SET INTERNET, send to 211
> if it doesnt work the first time, wait a few minutes then try again..
> ul recv some coniguration files.. all u have to do is save it.. good luck.. and enjoy
:p :D

is smart mms can be sent internationally?coz globe do not.
as far as i know u cant.... u can send to an email add though... and u cant send to other carriers... so its just smart to smart and globe to globe... but i think they're working on it.... :)

Question? how does globe charge its subscribers when they send an MMS.
jonas0229

it will reflect on ur monthly billing.if ur prepaid ull have to have a balance inquiry to know how much it cost.

why don't you try switching to smart coz' their mms activation is very simple, you can do it on your own. jas type in mms on send to 333 for mms activation and gprs on send to 333 for gprs activation. set gprs N7650 send to 211 for gprs settings and set mm N7650 for mms settings.

The reason why Im asking is because I am not a globe user so how can I Inquire after I use it. Im asking those who know How much they charge an incoming and outgoing MMS
cezcille
24-03-2003, 06:37 PM
there is no charge when you have an incoming mms, only outgoing mms is charged. P5, that's the truth. you just have to call 211 or 730-1000 to let globe activate then it's done. about the gprs connection, believe me, there is ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGE. you can surf over the different wapsites and it's ok, no charge.
