Unlocking the V66

Hi all, I'm going to purchase a motorola V66 soon from a friend but I will need to unlock it so I can use it on another network. How will I go about unlocking a V66, I've unlocked Nokia phones before just not the V66. Where can I find the software for it and what kind of data cable do I need.

Where can I find the PST software, for free that is? and what is PST software, is it the same kind of software used to unlock the Nokia phones like Knok 22 or Nokia tools 1.8?

You can find PST on this forum in software section. It's a bit difficult to use - there are two phases - flashing and flexing but you should handle it.

be very carefull when using pst tools its easy to kill your phone also the v66 files available are in chinese so your phone becomes chinese .I would advise using a clip if you can get hold of one
I HAVE USED CLIP WITH NO PROBLEMS :)

Where to find the Chinese files or at least new ones.

PST 4.9 load and read phone fine.

I found some . shx and .hs files but these old 2001 and check sums out between file and phone.
