well tried with lg tv but had to use philips tv remote option and worked gre8 upto 3 meters

But i found solution for SONY TV.
1. First, you select Sony TV by pressing right button (i think that sony is selected by default)

2. You have to press LEFT button to open properities. There you should choose Paraml

3. Press OK until you come to BITS. There you have to change the value to 12.

And amazingly that should work, at least for me did.

I read a reweiev about sony rc and in specs, there was bits 12. And also if u chose Sony alt TV there is 12 bits, but others is changed, and so it wont work.
But everytime you start program, bits have to be manualy changed, cos it wont save it. We have to wait for nonbeta program.
And also i noticed that volume arrows are missplaced :) wolume up is down and vice versa :)

Elektrik Eye : the hauppauge win tv series is using the same remote as the philips remotes and its funny cause i had to plug out the remote wire from the card so my tv could work :) :)

It works great with my Hitachi and Philips Tvs - but it has problems with the Philips VCR - i need to have the phone 1 cm away from it in order to work and the eject funcion does not computer...

For Sony VCR u have to do the trick for Sony TV. Change the BIT to 12. That's if you have the early version which can change the Param's. Then it should work.

Hi guys.. I have try this appz with many TVs & VCR but none result :(
I've tried lot of combination with a Philips model due to what the IR site map http://lirc.sourceforge.net says.. Never have 1 led pulse of IR activity from TV :( :(
At this point I dubt that IR work propely.. if it emits any light..
I've tried 0.20,0.21,0.22
Why this program has this great problems? (I know this is only a beta.. but..)

And about LED on TV. Sony has LED that flashes (among IR DIODS), but you may not have LED LED and IR DIODS are not the same. The second one dont flash.

I know the difference between.. I only mean that when I use the commander the st-by led flashes mean a right IR activity received.. And with my phone in any TV that has this feature any led Never flashes.. I haven't seen one.. no one pulse right..

In order to make the range longer the best and most easy way is to go and buy the latest model of a super duper tv set to a store near u!!!:D This is the only solution as the range depends on the model of equipment u have... Others have more sencitive ir and others not... The cheaper way is to go out and find a hitech, small, universal tv controller...:D

I don't think there is anything that you can actually do...
I also read from people saying that due to the IR type mounted on the 7650 it shouldn't go over 1m BUT, the facts are that I have done NOTHING to my 7650, and it works from my sofa (about 3m).
Maybe it's got something to do with the "sesitivity" of the TV's IR receiver, I don't know....:confused:

It's not a matter of new or old tv but it has to do with the kind of ir receiver the tv or other equipment has... With my philips tv I can only control from 2m but with my philips hifi stack about 5-6m. And they have completely different receivers...

That's odd... on the 7650 is the other way round. If you have the IR on, it does not even allow you to open the program.

why is it that version 0.91 does not work with any of the devices i have at home. So i tried the 0.93 version with the HiFi function implemented in the program and suddenly it works with my pioneer set. Is there a way to make that program work without the limitations of the trail version.;)

I think IRRemote are the best application for my 7650

I have a Sony Home Cinema System that not works with normal Brands. I hope in a future version of IRRemote I can load .ccf Files from my Philips Pronto Pro into my 7650.

I use the very small Version 0.22 and think is enough to control only my Sony and Haupauge TV :roll:

paste the one supplied in there
