i saw a new phone,the 6650.it looks like it kicks ass.it has a built in camera,can take videos and it has a 7mb memory.

those who heard about this phone,any thoughts about this model?its only drawback is that it has a protruding antenna.

nokia 7650 is a gsm phone. im not sure, but i think 2.5 g phones are the ones used in japan and korea..

2.5 is supposedly to be a gprs model (faster transfer, but still not 3g)

the first generation of mobile telephony was NMT (aka Nordic mobile telephony) as they were the first one to implement mobiles as the stationary infrastructure was much to expensive to build because of the natural factors.

The second generation is GSM which you all know. 900/1800/1900 mhz networks are gsm networks. The biggest advantage to the first is that GSM is digital (nmt was analog) which round up more quality in sound and in data transfer of course.

3G will come shortly ... and we shall se the advantages if it then.
