Flashing 2100

Since we know that Nokia 2100 is a DCT3 Phone.
Does anybody in this forum knows how to do it???

Is it possible to unlock it using a normal program such as Nokia Tool by Jordik/Rolis?

same flash type as 5210 same pin-out, read using rolis flasher in 5210 setting/mode - only needs to chop to two, flash is only 2mb. could also use knok, just add the right info/setting.

insert this line on your knok flasher in models.cfg located on /config directory:

NAM-2 2100 DCT3BT2.TIA 65 08 0

read from 0x200000 to 0x400000
for full flash.

You can flash 2100 with dejan flasher 1.00 with no problem. Tested 100% working. Use same config as 3330...:D ;)

I did read flash with this config (knok) without changing reading addresses.

NAM-2 2100 DCT3BT2.TIA 65 08 0

Result: sucess
File SIze: 2MB

I thought from the posts of 2 gentlemen above...and
Now my thinking says something like this

NAM-2 2100 DCT3BT2.TIA 65 05 0

Let us experiment - gonna post my results - awaiting results from u guys also !

dnt have 2100 and dnt have a 5210 either, dnt know which phone is better, but here's a crazy idea, for those who have 5210, maybe you can convert it to 2100 by flashing twice with full flash image of the said phone. remember the way we "downgrade" 3330 to 3315? maybe this worx! :p

for 2100 if you want faster flashing use rolis set model to 8250 works 100% (mcu-ppm or full flash)

for 3610 i use knok, tried flashing with rolis 479 error message "cant erase whole flash or incorrect loader"

to eliminate the wrong phone model flash using fls file not by wintesla convert your flash(mcu/ppm) using knok mcu+ppm(00200000 - 003F0000) then use the write fls button if you need full flash jus flash the eeprom after with start address 003F0000.

if you want to modify your flash program to select 2100 nd 3610 just use knok phoenix or knok sted, go to config/models add

NAM-2 2100 DCT3BT2.TIA 65 08 0 (posted by d_bug)

restart program and you will have 2100and 3610

have flash a number of 2100's one experience is that after full flashing it result to no signal, even though you use knok calc faid, mbus faid, eeprom tools etc., but when we flashed it separately worked for us. also we alsorecommend reset factory setting manually(keyboard) coz clicking SFR in rolis will have an effect on your signal or welcome note. just like when when you upgrade 6210-6250 u dont need to click SFR right.:)

i am using 6505 cfg. and if it works on rolis with phone model 8250 so its 6505 and maybe 6508 is too long.

i've flash many 2100 with this method and until now never failed

flash with rollis 478
1. select 5210 model
2. after finish flashing "contact service" will be appear
but never mind ignore it
3. use nokia tool 1.9 by rollis to update faid then
"Contact service" will disappear naturally.

4. now u can use your phone but do remember change imei
if use other same phone fullflash

hey dudes, I have a big problem if some one can help me I woud be very happy.. I used the noksoc with my nokia 5120 and I made a copy of the eprom then I start to play with the esn so I converted to 00, and the phone number change to. my phone has programing lock and I can´t enter to the programation. some one know how to unlocking it, can I use the noksoc to do it???
and I copied my eprom to the phone but the esn and the phone number doesn´t change...---what can I do??? pleaseee.

he cambiado el esn con el nokia soc pero cuando trato de copierle el respaldo que tenia este no aparece en el fono, osea el esn quedo en 00 y ahora no guarda el eprom antiguo.. mas encima se borro el niumero del fono y como tiene codigo duro no puedo reprogramarlo.. con que programa puedo sacarle el codigo duro al nokia5120 y que puedo hacer con el esn????ayudaaaa

hey guys i've flashed my 2100 with version 5.21 using knock95 and was succesful. does anybody have a full flash version 5.41??? coz ive downloaded v5.41 but its in wintesla format -> nam2_541.exe.

Use knok, make full flash, just don't bother if you get Contact Service after flash, using Nok tol update faid and you get what you want.

For the N2100 new, Software Version 2.51, we can not flash it yet, because Nokia change the Bootstrap loader, so we have to wait and see. Or someone in this forum can help??

For those who can not flash the N2100 V2.51, here is what to do.

Using Knok, you have add in the config folder dev_list.fps as follows:
00B000EA: Sharp LRS13A11, ALIAS_ID=00898890, size 16Mb

I'll try it already and there is no problem at all, you can make flash, full flash as ussual.

Open it with notepad, and don't forget to save it after you add.

You can use the knok to convert the wintesla file format to FLS format, so you can use it to flash with knok, but it isn't full flash only flash.

Does it have to be a 2100-specific lead or a 8210's or something else's will do? Same for data cable?

Yes you can flash 2100 with the 8210 flasher cable. It is exactly the same. I try it already

yeah 8210 cable worx fine.
if still having problem with flashing 2100 (for absolute newbies who can't configure cfgs :D) try the new Geo flasher by ice draagon, nice and easy and supports new flash ic's.
