I use the Bluetooth Software that cam e with the drivers - so that it can create a bluetooth neightborhood - combined with Nokia PCSuite, Epocware Filemanager and Remote S60.

And the name ot ths soft is ?

File manager, PC Suite, Remote S60 works fine, but, when I use "send via BlueTooth" in my mobile, it says "Sending not accomplished" (something like that)...some error...

I want to take a picture, and then to send it through BlueTooth to my PC, not using PC Suite...

And how do you upload images and midi, and ect. files to your mobile ??? Not using File manager ??

Thanks...

What seems to be the problem then?? If you can use Epocsware Filemanager, then all data transfer is possible. To do data transfer - use the File manager.

Some Bluetooth adapters have the option to do what you want trough the registry, some don't. Look in the forums and you shall find what you seek.

In the mean time ... use file manager.

Even with the old drivers sending stuff to ur fone should still be possible with the WIDCOMM s/w, so perhaps it's not a driver problem. (right-click the file send to > Bluetooth > 7650)

The updated drivers, once you can get them to work will resolve the problem of sending files from the fone to the pc.

Out of interest, what does the MSi device show up as in device manager? The BT's come up as CSR USB Bluetooth Device.

Zero

my case is:

-- right-click the file send to > Bluetooth > other (refresh, there is no devices there!) --

but, Widcomm soft recognizes my phone, and like I said, everything is working fine (File manager, PC Suite, Remote S60)

MSi device shows up as in device manager like this: "MSI Bluetooth USB Device", driver version is 1.2.2.15, WidComm manager is 1.2.2.4...

What do do ?

Saky.

Goto start->run and type 'regedit' without the quotes.

in the registry editor that comes up, browse to My Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\widcomm\btconfig\services\0004 and you should have, on the right hand side, a key called 'AcceptOther'. Double click this and change it from '0' to '1'

If you don't have it, make it by doing right-click, new, D-WORD value.

Good luck, you may have to restart before it works.

Hi again Saky,

As far as I can remember even with the old drivers [1.2.2.9], I was still able to send anything to my fone, it was just the problem of accepting files sent by the phone to the computer.

I'd really keep trying to get hold of the download I linked for you in the other thread, to the 1.3.2.7 drivers...they sorted all of my problems out.

I was as disappointed as you are to begin with. But once I updated the drivers I could send and recieve anything I like.

Response from WidComm staff:

"The 1.3.2.7 software will not work with the MSI device because of security locks in the code. Each OEM has this security lock restricted to only work with their device, so as in this case you can't use software which is not purchased from that particular vendor. Have you contacted MSI to see if they have an updated version of the software? Also the follow document I am including may be of some help..."

They dont have an update...

Problem Solved...

I downloaded MSI Bluetooth Software 1.2.2.15 + driver

http://download.msi.com.tw/support/dvr_exe/bt45.exe

Regedit keys :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\Services\0004\

changed "AcceptOther" from 0 to 1.

Everything works fine, sending to mobile and back, thanks guys...
