Might have been covered before, but today I got an 8210 to do an upgrade. When i connected it via mbus to Nokia tools to check the rom version, it couldn't find the phone! All other phones were fine, just this one was giving trouble! I have had this problem before and never fixed it!
Well... i took it apart, and to my shock i found that nokia had actually covered one of the contacts with the thin glue used to cover some of the chips by accident! So I scraped of the glue from the contact using small screwdriver and the phone booted fine! Has anyone else come across this problem? Thinking back now, I've dismissed many phones as being just (not PC friendly!)
