3320 mbus commands

I write aplications to Atmel microcontrolers to work via MBUS with nokia CDMA, TDMA and GSM phones. My new challenge is to write some code to dial, answer and control calls to nokia 3320. I tried some commands but they don't work well.
I tried D1, 0C and other commands to dial but none work.
I tried 01 command to make a call, but i don't know the exact syntax to 3320. Are the numbers send in ASCII format?
Are there commands to get status of a call, like call active, inactive, ringing etc?
Any help will be great!
