Hi all,

I have again sent an e-mail to Nokia expressing my opinions on their bullying tactics and would encourage others to.

Once I have bought a phone I own it and will do what I like with it let Nokia try and stop me :(

Well, this is the second time I hear of a site being shut down by Nokia's lawyers.

This may well be the start of a war against GSM sites. But I seriously doubt they'll try and force everyone out of the internet.

I do believe that Nokia uses forums such as this to monitor software bugs and other phone quality issues. They can even assess market trends, demand for specific models in all regions, etc. simply by reading the threads!

Cubwolf's site was a great resource and will no doubt be missed, but I for one know that all files available there are available in hundreds of other sites or will be made available soon...

So Nokia FREE goes on!

Cheers,

Al

I do understand that they want to him to remove the mcu+ppm files, because it is a little bit the same as having a download site with copies of various Microsoft Windows versions.

But i do not understand how they seriously can say that he have to remove Nokia Tool and stuff like that.

I think they could release the source for the DCT-3 phones instead... :D It is getting old...

GeeZuZz is right about their wanting to remove MCU and PPMs.

But I seriously doubt they'll ever release source codes. DCT-3 phones are still their best-sellers and they continue to invest in the technology, albeit in simplified form, with the new 2100.

What I really think is that repression on flashing and mod'ding is BAD bussiness for Nokia... I mean, I only bought a Nokia because it could be modified in the first place. (Well, to be honest I liked the fact that the phone's APPEARANCE could be easily modified, but then I got a data cable and things went on from there...).

Anyways now I only recommend Nokias because they can be messed with. If you need voice/signal quality buy an Alcatel or something.

Nanda: You are right.

The only reason i stick to my 3310 is because i can modify it!

I had a 3410, which is a better phone, but i sold it, because i liked my modified 3310 better.

I would probably have a Sony Ericsson T68 or something if I never started to flash my nokia (I like T68's design..).

me too!!! I just use Nokia and recommend it to others because it can be modified. Aren't Nokia people aware that their market is increasing because of "us" who just love messing up nokia phones :)

Hey guys, i have an idea.
Now body can mess illegal softwere in the Bulgarian servers - Why not the site owners don't store their file on bulgarian servers, such as http://free.techno-link.com (It gives 1GB+ free (you must write an e-mail for more); http://free.evro.net (it gives 10GB for free) and http://free.data.bg (It gives 5GB free).
Soon I'll translate this sites, because they are in bulgarian.
You can store all your files there. There you can find all the movies, cracks, hacks, moste of the games and progrems for free download, and the nobody can do anything tho the servers, there is no law.

Sorry for the bad English

Hello mexusbug

Completely off topic here but i notice you live in Bulgaria, I have been twice to your country, on the Black Sea, and I was thinking of buying a house over there, you any tips?, I see that two bed apartments near the sea can be had for maybe $25000, is this a reasonable price or are the estate agents selling these things inflating their price because I am a "foreigner".

cheers

Well it depends in which city is the appaertament. It's not very expensiv. I live in the capital city - Sofia. Well i like "Nesebar, Zlatni Pqsatzi" "Slunchev briag". If you are going to buy one, you better buy it by your one. The agents are getin' commision (for bulgarians, and foreigners)

Sorry for the engish.
