is Arabic not supported in 6110

i have looked everywhere for an Arabic language pack for 6110 but have not managed to find one i thought it was in language pack g but its not please help if you know of one

As some of you may already know I have tried many times in the past to contribute in the solution of Arabic SMS writing in some Nokia's that do not support it natively. However some of them was not so successful:confused: Sorry :(
However I will try to do my best this time. I own a 6110 and I will have the potential to test it myself (even if I do not now Arabic)...
I hope to be successful this time...

Well, the translation of 6110 into Arabic is finished but I am having some problems... I have made several modifications but I continue receiving squares instead the Arabic chars when switching to Arab lang... Has anyone anything in mind?

I am not an expert but I just wanna say something may be can add some help or may be silly know thing
but I will say it
if I made any modification in any language with ppm edit or fls edit the arabic langiage became squares in all nokia types which support arabic
I do not know is that happen with all unicode languages or just arabic
and I do not know if this is sommon and known or not
anyway wish to u good luck again especially that my private phone is 6110:)

THX for your good comments dearest!! This problem occurs only when I flash 6110 with Arabic Lang Modified Flash. I have made a 8250 Mod with Arabic and works great. I am currently working on making a fully functional Arabic pack for 3350 and the tests showed me that it is on a good way... Maybe in a couple of days I will distribute it FREE of course...

I am sure that this was because of my bad english
could u plz try to remove any language except arabic from any flash file using fls edit or ppm edit then flash this file to phone
U will find that the arabic language becomes squares in everyplace although u did not touch the arabic language
I tried that sir on a lot of versions of 3310 and got the same problem

Oh now I understand... Sorry. I haven't tried it to tell u the truth but it seems odd to me... I will give it a try and tell u. BTW do not use PPM edit or FLSedit.. Use Al's PPM maker. It is better...

I know sir that ppm maker is a great program but when I made these things ppm maker was not released yet

also I think it is harder for me to use it
for example it is easyfor me to change fonts or tones by fls edit or ppm edit but it is hard for me to do the same thing in ppm maker
how did I get fonts or tones of .bin type ?
and something else there are some things I do not understand it but I guess it such as PLMN and LDB
but there some things still do not understand what does it mean
such as LPCS , AORD
and also how to manage with them and how to edit them
and what is that terminator which is present everywhere
plz I wanna learn abt these things. how can I ?

I think that ppm maker is a great program but just for proffessionals not for all people to use such as the other programms

You're right that PPMMaker can't be used for changing fonts & tones yet ;)
About chunks in PPM:
LPCS - Language Pack Character Set (for converting from GSM alphabet to Unicode);
GSMC - GSM Character set (used for SMS coding/decoding);
AORD - Alphabetical ORDer (for names sorting);
PLMN - PreLiMenary Networks (just Networks with their codes);
LDB - Language Data Base (T9);
Terminator means end of section.

For now with PPMMaker is possible to change: GSMC, TEXT & PLMN chunks. But you also can manupulate with others (add/remove/Import/Export), for ex. you can remove all unused languages from flash, or add if you want, use right-click in treeview ;)

and also I knew how to add or remove languages
and PLMN is not important for me as I think
but how abt the GSMC ? u said it is GSM Character set (used for SMS coding/decoding)
what does this mean ?
is that the characters used in the sms ? or what exactly ?
what can I do with it ? adding feed line and blinking characters or what ?
