View Full Version : 5210 locking up when game selected

Hi all

Has anyone had experience of 5210 phone locking up when u select to start any game, the screen backlight goes off and the only way out is to press the red cancel key or the back button or volume up or down buttons? None of the other services cause this. Will resetting the software help?

what is your SW version??did you flashed it before??if you have an old version try the latest one Ver 5.22 its working fine with me with no problems

sw version 5.20 12/8/02 nsm-5
the only other thing I've done is to add blue leds.

why not trying to update your software to 5.22 it very stable with me ill now and has no bugs:D

But before flashing please kill the mcu&faid check;)

I dont have a flash box only serial cable autoswitch, what does "KILL MCU AND FAID CHECK" mean?

the 5210 flash file is some kind encrypted so the faid update will not be done if you didn't kill the faid and mcu checks(its some kind of protection in the flash file) and after killing the faid and mcu checks and flashing the fone you will need eeprom tools to update your fade(works with me)

search on the forum about faid killer and you will find the program:D

you need a good pmm dump. try searching for eeproms with pmm and flash it to your phone. you need to backup all your user data's though.

thanx for the info lads, I take it i'll need a flash box as my fbus/m bus wont do the job yeh? Where's the cheapest site to get one?
