SMSC is a server that transfer SMS messages between phones. when you send a message from you phone to another, the message goes through your operator's smsc, and your operator can take money for that (the price for sending sms).
if you make your phone use another smsc, so your message does not pass through you operator's one - you don't have to pay for sending messages.

+but+

the operators block most of these numbers so you will be forced to use theirs, and pay for your sms.

it is very hard to find smsc numbers that hasn't been blocked, but if you find one - you'll have free sms.

look, this is a discussion forum for nokia phones, not free SMS centre numbers. if you want to find those, youll have to start at http://mobile.box.sk and work from there

bear in mind that most companies that foolishly set up an smsc that accepts all SMS for relay usually notices a meteoric (huge) rise in the use of its service in a very short time.. these numbers spread like wildfire, and by the time they reach you, the company is usually looking at a few tens of thousands dollar charge from the upstream provider, and they turn the smsc off, so you wont ever get more than a few days out of the smsc. just go get a job and pay for your sms.. :)

Thanks my dear friend,

You are absolutely right, As a " network administrator " I can understand exactly what will happen to those servers.

Anyway i have to just get informed and just try that my service provider can block my use of those nos. or not.???

:)

Anyway, Thanks again
