Nokia 8210

Have Nokia 8210, had prob with screen, but sorted........now ear piece, really low when talking, people can hear me but I can hardly hear them, yet volume full!..........can anyone help please?

Is it the phone or the network? although put sim in my spare 3210 and perfect!

Could it be something to do with the ariel or amp?

Please help...thanks!

Your speaked is stuffed! Replace it with a working one from any nokia fone, they're all the same! But, the 8210's speaker is held in place by little plastic clips! You don't need these, so break them off, I use a needlenose pliers! You'll see when you open it! That's the answer to your problem 100%!

You say my speaker is stuffed? well the ringing tones are fine and keypad tones + sms tones!.........does that make any difference to not being able to hear people when talking?

My volume is full on headset, but volumes on other sounds are middle and fine!

Would you still say my speaker need replacing?

The ringing tones and sms tones exept from "beep once" is from a different speaker than the earpiece, a piezo-speaker i think.
But key tones and "beep once" are coming from the earpiece.

Yeah, as dave8210 said, Your ringtone/sms sounds come from a different speaker! But the keypad tones (single beep) come from the earpiece! Are the keypad sounds loud or faint? It wouldn't hurt to change it, it's really quite easy! I'd still say that it's a faulty speaker, especially that the headset works! (That means the phone's pcb is still able to send sound!

yeaH~ the ringtone is from the other, which you name it "buzzer".
maybe is some problem with contact? how about making a call without the housing and try to press both left and right side of your earpiece? if it's loud, then i'm sure you know what to do with it... is still can't, maybe just change a new earpiece, perhaps, it won't cost you much wut~ i tried that before and, problem solved.! as i know so far, those AMP or aerial won't won't cause these problem. and if your aerial aren't good, the earpiece will sounds scratchy, and like sound when you talk in space or similar..
