killing by flashing

i killed a 5210 by upgrading the software

i made 2 backups

i tried all the software i could find to try and flash the backup to my phone

took it to a nokia service centre as it was under waranty

they had to replace the flash chip

got it fixed for free no questions

got it back and now i can flash is as much as i want

must have been a bad chip!!!

Btw,i always have a problem to flash a 5210 :(
Last time i've got 2 5210 that is "Contact Service".I tried to flash it but this message appeared "RAM bad" :confused:
Dunno wat's the solutions...i always scared to play wit a 5210 coz heard tat it would easily dead after flashing.
Any ideas?

I have 5210 and till now I flashed it over 30 times with no problems...the only problem i was getting is that when using rolis the phone will not work but you can use rolis if you've killed mcu+faid checks..any way you can use knok its kinda slow but works fine but I think you should kill faid because 5210 is difficult to update its faid because its encrypted some way

i have changed some of the fonts and made the lights fade

couldnt update the faid till i got the newest version of nfader with the kill checksum feature.

it works fine now!!!

Looks like i'm outdated...:( i've always scare to play wit a 5210 but since u all hv done it...i think i'll get a 5210 soon 2 try....

Btw,both of u done it by using the same method juz like flash other DCT3 phones?

don't be scared I changed my ringtones it now about 70 tones removed unused languages and T9,changed battery and net icons and I changed the startup animation too and alot its very normal DCT-3 fone but you must KILL FAID first.
NOTE:don't use fading leds if you will use rhythmic backlight alert option.this will make your fone STOPS!!!

it doesnt make the phone crash gets a little confused


if you kee pressing the call end button it will eventually come out of it

it makes my eyes hurt when i try to change the animations

defanitley makes the phon yours though!!!!:D :D
