6210 to 6250 upgrade

I tried upgrading my 6210 to 6250 and finally managed to make it work. Unfortunately not all previous steps are correct to make it work. Also Knok19 needs to be patched to make it work with the 6210. If anyone is interested I can explain how.

Anyway the wierd this about it is that the signal indicator doesn't go any higher than 4/7 segments whereas it was perfectly full before the upgrade.

Any ideas?

P.S. My 6210 is three weeks old has a DSP ROM 6 if that is helpful....

Hi Valis

I upgraded my 6210 to 6250 and it works just fine. My signal indicator goes all the way to the 7th segment. I used knok19 and used MCU+PPM v5.03 F. The only difference is that my 6210 is one of the earliers (orig version: 6210 v3.01 PPM F)

Any idea where I can find knok 20 ?

I also upgraded 6210 to 6250 successfully. Except one little thing... 1800MHz has gone... /n/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif Phone can't work on 1800 /n/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif((

Yes there is a solution, I just fixed mine. On an earlier post Abe attached an e2prom file for the upgrade. Not any e2prom file GET Abe's FILE !!!! Only that works. Follow the instructions and it will be fine.
