Mailbox settings for Vodafone(UK)

Hi

Does anyone know the Mailbox settings to connect my 7650 to Vodafone Mail.

The current settings I have allow me to receive mail but not to send it.

I currently have "Outgoing mail server" set to "smtp.vodafone.net".

you're out of luck at the moment.
Up until today it was possible to change the outgoing server to

smtp.vizzavi.co.uk

Even without a vizzavi account this would work using ur existing vodafone.net mail settings.

But unfortunately, vizzavi has been taken offline. (the service has shut down as of 1st April) It may come back on again, and I've generated an error report with vodafone technical regarding this, and now that nothing works, I've updated them so hopefully they'll have a solution soon.

Ignore what I've just said, it seems as though the vizzavi server is working again. :) I'm happy. Perhaps I was just trying at times when it had been turned off. Bear in mind that it is possible that they will turn the server off at some point down the line.

Also you will recieve a message saying that it's not been sent, even though it has.

Got a callback from tech support yesterday with the new working smtp server:-

Also for anyone interested in some UK mail settings, I found a page I had bookmarked a while ago. The vodafone settings don't work, but if anyone is unable to work out how to set-up email it could be useful. It's all fairly simple but if you haven't a clue then it's useful.

That is an interesting link, but doesnt seem to help those of us who dont have an isp at all. How would i gou about setting it up to pick my work or hotmail e-mail??
