formatting....

What exactly will get deleted when formatting my phone...
(Phonebook etc...)
I have got a nokia 7650...with 4.39 firmware..
What wayz are there to format it...

Hi,

choose *#7370# and you get a phone like new. It contains only the OS = Symbian. All is at basic. You must setup your personal things, time, contacts and so in.

It is like a new installation of Windows at a computer.

The only way to FULLY formatting this Symbian OS is using Winpheonix or AFD. It will reformat the symbian OS and eeprom of this phone and also to repair "Contact retailer" fault

but now I have been confused again:

This flasher adaptor says:
Interconnect with the handsets via Service Battery Type of connector
This means that exist a special fake battery that use some plus battery contacts to flash the phone..

But in another site I've seen another type of connector for flash that must be applied under the cam, directly on the PCB.

Another one tell me that the phone must be totaly opened and so a special connector pressured to pcb can transfer the OS.

Wich of theese has the right reason? :confused:

on a 3650... extras > memory... options... backup phone memory.

Regarding formating the 7650 using *#7370#, does anyone here

had tried it in different nokia cellphones?
