is the multimedia card (mmc) and secure digital card (sd card) the same in a sense that the sd card can be used in 9210i? it looks the same in dimension but will it work? from the nokia website, a MMC is recommended.

what's the difference between the two?

The dealy here is that there is one connector thingie too many on the SD cards, which is why I believe that they aren't compatible. I'm not tech expert in this (as can be understood from this poor reply), but I think that neglecting a connector thingie is probably not a good idea since that would mean you won't have a full link to the card. But I get where you're coming from, a 512 meg card would indeed be nice ;oP

thanks for the reply. i'm not a tech expert also but i was just confused with the memory because it looks the same. all the while i thought that a SD is like an upgraded MMC.

MMC and SD cards are practically compatibile, but the SD cards has a lock system and there are baout 1 mm thickness bigger then MMC cards. MMC are about 0,75 mm, SD are 1,5 mm. So, in some devices (as digital cameras f.ex) yoy can use MMC and SD as well, but the port of memory card in N9210 is to small for SD and you can use only MMC cards.
