fbus is the datacable and mbus is the servicecable

The FBUS interface lets you transfer ringtones, logos and other similar things to your phone, manage your phonebook and SMS's while the MBUS interface lets you make some service related operations such as unlocking your phone, changing IMEI, updating FAID, setting the LCD's contrast, changing data in EEPROM (like converting 3310 to 3315) etc...

I think you must familiarize first to celphone hardware before you go to the software , try to read mode of operation on the Service Manuals , you will read interesting facts there ! Good Luck
