m-bus cable help needed

Thought I would try to unlock my Nokia 5110, never done this before, so got the lead and nokia tools 3.03, Connected up phone to computer and all I got was mobile not connected or mbus error
So I checked the lead with my meter and I only got a connection on pin 5
So the question is, Is these cables the same as ordinary serial cables e.g.. 2-2 3-3 5-5
I know there are only 3 wires connected as I can get the phone end to bits, but the serial end is moulded
any help gratefully received, before i hack the cable up

Just tried Logomanager and it is working OK with that, So it mustn't be the cable, So it must be me lol

if your cable has 3 wires, it will be F BUS. M bus cables only have 2 wires.
check in your logomanager settings to see if he is running with m or f bus cables to be sure of that.

so you have a Fbus cable and it will not work...you should have a mbus cable to be able to update faid...repaire eeprom etc

Well I am learning a lot off you guys
So if an fbus has 3 connections and an mbus has only 2 connections
Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for both types
