unlocking M35 and M50

i need to unlock 2 mobiles from siemens (M50 and M35)
i've been searching the web for HOURS but i still don't really know how to do it...
could anybody explain to me how to do this and WHAT software to use.
both phones are prepaid-models - does this make a difference ??
i have a cable to connect the phones to the serial port of my pc...

i've read a lot about "maxim-unlocker" and "siemens sensor tools" but i don't really know how to proceed...

if anybody could help i would be really lucky ;)

ha - after spending about 12 hours i solved it...

with my M50 (sw-version 9) i had success with using "Maxim M50/MT50 Unlocker"
with my M35 (sw-version ??) i had success with using "siemens unlock 5.1 by nutzo"

at first i tried to unlock my mobiles in winXP & spent hours for trying...
then i somewhere read to better use win9x for unlocking.
so i did it on my notebook (with WinMe installed) and had no problems at all.
