The Mobile Station IDentifier number.

A 13 byte number which can be gotten from the phone and is used as base for calculating the Faid number.

The Faid number is again required for authorising a new or modificated flashfile.

but if we flash a partial flash, there is no need to change faid, why?

...because every 32&33 bytes from mcu&ppm are used to calculate faid...and the differences in partial (from flash in phone) are not concerning those bytes...:smile:
