Hiya mateys! I just switched back to Globe and am in dire need to set-up a pop3 acct for my dear 7650. What could you guys recommend? URL pls so that I could sign-up for it as well. Free access to it and all... Tried hotpop... copied the settings to the fon but wont work!:( and could you like also pls post the settings... Thanks so much in advance mates!:)

i was actually trying to download my mail the whole day today and can't seem to make it work! "General: System Error" always pops up!

i can't believe this, i was just able to check my mail yesterday while i was walking around the mall!

i sure hopw there's just an error in their system! i was just wondering where theremoids got the info that's why i wanted to learn more about it myself.

although gprs on wap still works, but i dont know if all the links you donwload can be able to download... somtimes i get no gateway...

even wapsites with FREE downloads are being blocked by globe so BE CAREFUL in posting your wapsites' url.

nowmms is also blocked.

ever wonder why globe gprs is STILL FREE?
coz their programmers are having a difficult time in sorting sim accounts with gprs access... kung magpapabayad na sila, makakalusot yung ibang wala sa database (which is more the 50%)... in other words, di nila ma-trace kung sino sa sino? geeez!

so they did the blocking spree... hanggang sa ang globe site na lang ang matira.

i think i'll buy a SUN sim right now and trow my GLOBE sim na. useless.

Yup they blocked it since yesterday. I am using Sun cellular right now. Pretty fast.

Funny thing is we thought Globe intended to offer free wap over GPRS but when in fact, it is because their programmers arent as good as Smart's when it comes to charging. So now they ended up blocking those sites and ports we use.

Would you wanna download picturs off their wap site for 15 bucks? LOL

SUN has a decent signal in my area so i dont mind switching at all :)

Of course you can do those. You only need wap and internet over GPRS and sun provides it without blocking wap gateway and all ports so yes, certainly.

Not to mention, their CS are very helpful and very courteous!

How many people are we talking about here?

10 who want a popbox? 20? maybe 100?

If I offer it to you guys for free, what kind of capacity am I looking at? Would everybody be happy with lets say 1MB but you have to pop it out, dont leave it in?

If 10 people want it I don't mind sharing 5 mb or so but looking at this thread I'm affraid quiet a few people want it and I can give only so much away for free.

COULD SOMEONE CALL GLOBE AND TELL THEM TO UNBLOCK THESE SERVERS.

yahoo business mail servers:
incoming mail server - pop.bizmail.yahoo.com
outgoing mail server - smtp.bizmail.yahoo.com

these are paid services from yahoo. globe does not have the right to block them. franchesca and blackskull business mails are paid with the package that i pay every month. that is $1800 fucking dollars. so those servers should not be blocked!!!

and the messenger servers:

yahoo messenger - not sure with server address
msn messenger - messenger.hotmail.com port 1863
icq server - login.icq.com port 5190

I don't know which email addresses he is talking about here but we can move whatever domain it is to my mail server so you can keep the addresses.

if you would be able to transfer the domain of these then that would be really great!

the only would be if Schizo would point mail.franschesca.org (or whatever he wants to use for a MX server) to my server and use that as the email server.

I don't control that domain so nothing I can do for now.

Hi guys. I'm new here. Just a lurker and now decided to register and post... :)

Anyway, i also noticed that Globe has disabled email access on my phone. That's very sad. I was actually glad when i bought my 3650 kase i was able to retrieve my mails even while on the road. I'm using my own servers for my IMAP mails. So that means even if you create your own mailservers, Globe can see that too and will block them.

Kaasar! Useless. GlobeXTM s*cks a big deal.

An alternative is to retrieve your mails thru mail2pda.com and enter your POP3 server addresses there. Kaso, it's cumbersome. Maganda sana built-in support sa phones.

i can give away free business mails which will have an addresses @franchesca.org

please no duplicate people....

post here the [email protected] that you want...

also, the yahoo mail that you wish it to be attached...

those are the 2 things that i need, yahoo id and the address that you want. after this you can go to mail options then activate pop/forwarding. configure your phone and you can use it already....

hotpop and others have limits and are very slow... since i am in a good moood today ill give some of you guys the priviledge that im using...

remember, i cant give everyone his or her business mail, just some of you guys.... so i think its first come first serve...

let me do the legwork... im going to give it for free...

the service is not free because you need to pay monthly dues BUT, FRANCHESCA will be the one to shoulder those dues.

no need to worry. dont you guys even notice some of the people here use @blackskull or @franchesca addresses already?

you can use it to send and receive mail from your 7650.

Yeah... any POP3/IMAP4 email account is not accessible thru Globe's free GPRS...

Too bad... That's one of the conveniences i had for almost a week before they blocked it. I hope they bring it back for a nominal fee, say 10cents per 1MB... :)

then the password I send you should work fine.

make sure that you include the @ronde.us for the username.
