ozone help

g3gg0 release recently a program called ozone. Its a tools for viewing and manipulating the zones...

My problem is what are the zones???
What is it for????

regarding 0z0ne. some member migth hav a good idea, what it really does.

me i am not sure. i will try to look at it when i hav free time. actually u could experiment on it, if only u will try. try changing it's value. that's what i would do if i will expermiment on it.




side comment:

some members do read to learn, try to learn, watch to learn , seek to learn and some just copy to learn. not every one learn, but if u can read, there is a chance. that one day we will teach what we 've learn to fellow members. 2 heads is better than 1. :)

I went there and I read ur explanation
thx for it although till now I did not know how to use it in the right way but at least u give me the key
at least now I could write the zone start of the opened flash file (thx to the table u presented) and I get a list of all zones
but I still do not know how to edit zones as I do not have the hexes of the x,y start and x,y ends
and I am still a little confused abt what are the zones :rolleyes:

first thing u must also learn is how to locate the ozone on every flash... try searching this hex on every dct3. using hexworkshop or any hex editor would be ok.

i tested this on 2. 8210v531(0x00330808-0x200000) n 3210v6 (0x002D656C - 0x200000).

the above search will be above the right loc. if the search is successful, just look down till u reach 0xb5f0. before that is the right loc. (the difference is around 0x70 plus bytes).

the search byte my changed on other mcu or dct3. but i think this would be okay.

now with this u will know how to find the loc of 0zone table.
regarding x,y,dx,dy. i will also try to study them.

but if u hav time just re-read what g3gg0 post. u will eventually undestood it. later on.

now there is two topics open with one subject, how is anyone else to make sense of the program...

anyway,
the xstart, ystart etc=

these are the coordinates of the black box which appears on the screen.

so if you put;
x start = 0
y start = 0
x end = 1
y end = 1
you will end up with a zone of one pixel area, at location 0,0 on the screen

the values are not hex, they are decimal; and related to coordinates on your screen.

if you just try to edit these values, you will see the effect on screen :)
