Hello.
I have got a 3310 from someone, I had heard that some of the newer 3310s have a 4mb flash and an updated pcb. So I opened up the phone to find that it has the upated pcb with all the contacts for 3310 to 3410.

I then read the flash from 200000 - 400000. Then I opened the flash in HexWorkshop to find that the flash is two 3310 flashes after eachother, this is the technuque used to flash 3310 firmware into a 3330.

But when I read the phone using rolis, the program tells me that it only has a 16mb flash, not a 32mb which a 3330 needs.

So I tried to flash a 3330 file to the phone anyway, it flashes ok with no errors (the keypad lights are on while flashing for some reason??) but the phone wont power on after that.

Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

Ok the area you have to read is 200000 to 600000

But your phone is a 3310 with 2MB flash chip I have seen alot of 3310 with the 3410 broad but its still a 2MB flash chip.

In short don't bother.
