Cleaning screen: alcohol caution!

Be cautious, cleaning the transparent plastic of the screen with alcohol could crack it!

I have did it and know I have 3 cracks on the corners of the screen that make my phone (a new 3510i) look like it was 10 years old!

Temperature difference betwwen plastic and alcohol may be the cause.

So be cautious.

ive totally destroyed my laptop screen with that stupid alcohol... :mad:

an alcohol is for dis-infecting humans..... :) and destroyer of some electronic parts...

I have been using isopropyl alcohol for cleaning electronic parts and circuit boards for at least 25 years without any problems but care must be taken with some plastics. :)

the best use for alcohol is getting drunk.
