Hi there,

using wintesla I destroyed my dear nokia 3210... It was my own stupid fault, I had my own connected but I had to do something with another 3210. I've spend a lot of time in the thing, it has blue leds 'n stuff, so I want it back alive /n/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

What's the problem? The thing works, accepts my SIM like usual, finds network, and then a few seconds later it 'reboots' and shows me a 'sim not accepted' message. When i remove the antenna, the thing ofcourse won't find any network and then it just stays on.

What have I done sofar? I tried resetting the whole thing using wintesla, (the full factory reset) but it won't work. I flashed the software but that didn't help (i already thought so, it's the EEPROM I think, not the flashrom)

So I think I need to fix the data in the eeprom... Which means I need a interface to read and write it. Can anyone give me some hints? I searched quite alot for it but i was unsuccesfull.... Btw, it's got the 24c128n eeprom, and the phone is V5.01

Thanks alot in advance, Rataplan_

actually why don't you try using rolis noktool 1.7b or eeprom tool v3 or bphreaks then update the FAID, this should solve your problem.

Thanks alot guys, using kNok, which I found on one of the sites I was able to fix the checksum or whatever just using my Mbus cable! Phone is working again!

by the way, I tried the NokTool from Rolis, but it kept complaining it couldn't switch the phone to local mode or something like that.
