7210 Barred?

I have recently found a 7210 and after unlocking it to allow my SIM it is giving me 3 bleeps when i try to call any number..

however it does allow connection to my phone network, and I have also been able to send sms messages on it..

Is it that the phone is barred by the network or does it have some problem making voice calls.. or do i need to set something up on the phone!!

sounds like voice calls are barred... have u checked the handsets barr lists?

I tried cancelling all bars, and also barring then unbarring to no affect, also it cant recieve incoming calls either, the caller will get the "number not exist" continuous tone

maybe its barred by the Network, but its strange it will allow me to send sms...

what should normally happen when a phone is barred due to being reported lost? are these things possible, or would it just not even connect to the network??

These problems namely 1) three beeps, and the call disconnects and 2) "Number not exists" for a correct number, usually come because of high network load. These problems are not likely due to a reported loss or something like that. But this can be a problem with your sim card, as after reporting the loss the network has permanently disabled some of your sim services. You can get your sim checked at your network's office. Or better get your sim replaced for a new one if you can't find any remedy. It will solve your problem for sure.

yeh thats wot happened to my fone,wen i later discovered it was blacklisted, n unuseable to me, see if u can sell or swap it,
