I have a 8210 Rom 6 phone which i upgraded to 8250 v 5.02 which was verry hard to do since it could only be read with flash box and no other software and this was after 10000 of tries i tried all the loaders and f loaders in Darkshell, i also tried Rols and a couple of other but none of them seem to be able to read or write to this phone.. Is their any other flasher i could try or dose anyone have any special boot and flash loaders for these...
Thanks

Hi,
I managed to make a backup of my nokia 8210 with the dejan flasher (darkflasher shell).
I had some difficulties and tried a lot of boot.bin and f_loader.bin.
I finally succeded when I lowered the speed of my computer (AMD) from 1300 Mhz to 700 Mhz.
i have a question, how did you do to backup your nokia using a dejan box, did you use the dejan MCU/PPM flasher or some other prog ?
Now that I have my backup, I still need to wait until my m2bus interface is ready to upgrade it to 8250.
Bye.

Hi
I used a App called Flash Box it was the only thing that would read or write to this phone the cables i used were the Dejan flash cable and i used a full backup from a 8250 for this.
Hope this will help... My computer is a 550Mhz so i dont think it is speed... I saw somewhere that you have to shorten the flasher cable to work with Rom 6 phones i dont know if this works because i dont want to spoil my flasher cable.

Hi m8
here is the process:-
How to... Upgrade your 8210 to an 8250 in 10 easy steps:
1. Read the 8210 in "Eeprom Tools by B-phreaks V 3.0" with an mbus cable. At the bottom it will say the ROM version if it is ROM6 proceed to step 2.
2. Flash the 8210 with the "8250l502.fls" file that is included in the zip file to 00200000.
3. Start "Nokia tool by Rolis Ver 1.5b", connect the phone to an mbus cable and read the phone.
4. Tick the box next to "Update FAID".
5. Enter the IMEI of the 8210 (14 Digits) and click "Change IMEI".
6. Click "Clear SPLocks".
7. Click "Update FAID".
8. Read the phone in "NOKIA Tool ASM-C by PRO - [build 035]".
9. Tick the box "UI Settings" and click "Apply SFS".
10. Insert your SIM card.
You should have a working upgraded phone after all this good luck..

Hi!
tools to use:
rolis 5.14
noktool rolis 1.8 (1.7b)
get your flash file and upload it to phone.
if u get an error try to put delay index in the options section at a higher value (3 or 4).
if the error u get is 'flash erase check...' get a hair dryer and give your phone a nice brise of hot air.
try flashing again. if u get same error, the hot air wasn't enought. use your hair dryer again (throught the hole where u place your cable pinout on the phone, or open it and heat it.
if u get the same error again, buy a new hair dryer! :D :D :D :D
sorry, i can't help u anymore if ur prob isn't solved!
Good luck!
Regards.
