Version 6.00 PPM Language Pack B for Nokia 8250 (NSM-3D)
-------------------------------------------
THIS IS THE PPM PACK ONLY, YOU'LL ALSO NEED THE MCU!
IF YOU HAVE V6.00 MCU ALREADY, YOU CAN USE THIS PPM FOR PARTIAL UPDATE.
Languages included:
English +T9
Danish +T9
Norwegian +T9
Swedish +T9
Finnish
German
-------------------------------------------
This pack was created on the basis of language pack L PPM 6.00 for Nokia 8250 (NSM-3D), language pack B PPM 5.30 for Nokia 8210 (NSM-3) + menu language texts from several other phones, where there was missing entries from the 8210.
The only bits not translated, are the help text for the Screen Saver, help for accessories, and help for switching input modes from Chinese and English.
The texts are:
1151=Lets you create and send Chinese and English text messages. Change input modes with #.Sending requires that this service is activated by the network operator.
1201=Lets you enable the graphical screen saver which will be activated after the selected time, if there is no action in the phone.
1224=Includes options for customising the accessory settings of the phone.
-------------------------------------------
Tools I used creating this PPM:
PPMMaker 1.05 by Al, for most everything. This tool is awesome!
INOCULATE (Idiomatic Nokia Cellulars Universal LAnguage Translation Environment) 1.4 by valtrig for translations. At first I tried using Excel and Notepad, but with this tool it's a breeze!
nasNFCon (nas DCT3 Flash Converter) 0.0.1. Good Converter, also works fine for fixing CRC Checksums, and testing if the flashes really worked, before trying them out on the phone.
Hex Workshop 3.1 I used for changing the ID on the PPM from "L" to "B" by importing the flash (in *.fls format) and simply changing the letters, saving the file, and then fix the CRC's in nasNFCon.
I used WinDLS 2.7 by VirtualM for flashing,
and since I am working on WinXP I had to use UserPort 1.0 by Tomas Franzon to have full access to the Parallell Port, and my Dejan Cable.
Had it not been for Dejan Kaljevic, I would not have been able to flash the phone at all. Thanks, man!
