Hi All,

I am new here and have spent several hours reading through  !! There is such a lot to take in for us new people!

In order to unlock my 8310, I believe that I need some codes?

With them I hope to be able to use my 8310 on the UK Vodafone net and not on the T-mobile one it is on now?

If I am correct, will someone please supply me with the unlock codes I need and brief instructions on how to use them.

The details are:

Nokia 8310
IMEI 350985101057188
Current net - UK T-Mobile (23430 - I think!)

Many thanks

PS This is an excellent forum with loads of info ;)

Rad,

Thanx a lot M8, the code worked :) .... I think?

It came up and said that the restriction was off, but now it is asking for a "security code"? This is after I have put my sim in, and entered my PIN.

Any ideas on either what this code is? or how to get rid of it?

Thanks again

:( Arse !!! I tried that code and it didn't work!!

I take it from ur response that there r no other "soft" codes to get round this problem and so I am now stuck and need a data cable? and presumably some software?

If so, any suggestions as to where I can get these?

Am I correct in thinking that this security code is in the fone and not on my sim?

Also, do u know if it will lock up if I have too many tries at the code?

Sorry for all the "dumb" questions, but thanks a lot for ur help ;)

Yes M8, I am in the UK.

How much r we talking for a cable?

As a slight aside, is there any such thing as a "generic" cable? 'Cause if I am gonna get a cable, it would be good to get one that would do a number of fones...I have 5100, 6100, 6210, 6310i and the 8310!!!
