Hi all,

I've got an old 5146 (is it the same as 5110???), which had an One-2-One SIM.

I wish to unlock it to use with my Orange SIM, as I water damaged my 3330.

Can anyone help me with the procedures to unlock it???

Advice is very much appreciated.

Cheers all!!!!!

You can unlock it using Nokiatool and a MBUS cable.

If you want to Flash the phone you need Rolis and a Flasher cable, use MCU+PPm for a 5130 (Orange's version of the 5146)

Adven,

I just want to make my 5146 work with my Orange SIM, i.e., can I only unlock it (using NokiaTool + Mbus cable) or do I need to flash it as well?

I am attaching a file of a data cable kit I found on ebay (@ £9.95). Do you think it is a good buy for what I have to do or should I spend £20 on a Nokia DCT 3 MCU/PPM flasher?

Again, advice is very much appreciated.

Cheers!!!

You do not need to flash the phone to unlock it...As long as you can read the phone in Nokia tool with your cables you will be able to unlock it....Just click on 'Clear SP locks'....

The 5146 will accept the orange sim if you unlock it and you will deffinatly get signal!
You won't be able to use voda or O2 on it as they work on different GSM bands
