can anyone tell me which is best of these two space saving software packages?

I've tried both. Space doubler doesn't seem to be as stable. The gui is not very easy to learn. When decompressing it has a tacky zip logo going across the screen, looks dreadful.
Stacker is easy to understand and use (better interface), seems more reliable, better decompression/compression bars and some say compresses better.

If you want a (full back-up;) ) version of stacker, schizo's site is definately the best, 5 star recommendation. Takes no time to sign up. The site is the most uptodate concerning apps.
