View Full Version : Editing of 3210 PPM

I'm trying a little experiment at the mo and have hit a problem.
Just for fun, I'm trying to edit the data stored in the PPM of a 3210 (5.36E) so that some of the text is different.

So far I have changed Menu to read Arse (it was the only four letter word I could think of at the time!) but then I hit problem.

It refuses it register with network - One or two 'clicks' when held near a speaker, but nothing else, no received signal shown at all.

I have updated the PPM Checksums using the values calced by Alabaster (without this I get CONTACT SERVICE)

Any ideas anyone? Could this somehow be the work of MCU checksum 2, the one that isn't calced, or is it another checksum hidden in the PPM?

Thanks,

Hi,

For recalc of all checksums use PpmManager091 from Mr. From_Vanof.
Save the file before exiting!

nFree1.2 and Alabaster (nfree clone) do not calculate the checksums of the LDB and WUGS chunk, and the checksum located in the last four bytes of the ppm data.
