3310 to 3330 information

Many people are saying that is possible to upgrade a 3310 to 3330 if we change de 16Mb flash with a 32Mb one, however, i have a question: Will WAP work? I think that will not work because 3310 doesn`t have a modem, or it`s a software emulated modem?

PS-> where i can find equipment to remove/upgrade flash chip?
