Weird 8210 problem........

You can switch the phone on and the screen will either be visible or it won't. What i mean is that sometimes you can enter you pin number, the phone will say code accepted, and then the screen will just go blank. Sometimes it will work perfectly and then the screen will go blank after trying to read a txt message.

Then, after you have switched off and then back on again, the screen will stay blank????


I think it could be something to do with the cpu, since i heard that this controls the LCD.


It is not the elastomer since a brand new board has just been fitted and the problem is still there


The phone has had a full flash (mcu+ppm+virgin eeprom rebuild)
using version 5.30D/5.31D, phone was originally 5.26


Anyone ?????

Clean LCD contacts on circuit board change LCD then reflash to 5.31. worked for me

I've solved that problem changing the LCD rubber. Try to change it to another one from a 5110. It worked perfectly for me.

I had the same problem and was the LCD needed replacment!
Are you sure you haven't been sold a dodgy LCD??
