You can find virgin eeproms everywhere on the net, including NokiaFREE Download section!? Forget the IMEI, that's not important, your phone has contact service for 1 of two reasons, either the software is corrupt, in which case you read a full working backup from a phone or download one from the net, or your phone has hardware issues, most likely in the cobba! As for the IMEI, it will be given one if it doesn't keep the original (Mostly does)when you flash, and then you can enter the one from the sticker on the back in Knok!;)

mabe u dint understand my post... I have alredy flashed a virgin eeprom to this fone... as virgin eweporms do not contain imei's the fone will display contact service... after which u can use nokia tool or equivilant softwear to reporgram the imei... however the fone just hangs on contact service an cnt be read by nokia trool... the 8210 head is wrkin fine as it doesnt show any errors whilst flashing... I need a full flash with an imei written to it so i wnt get contact service... and then I shud be able to read it from nokia tool... this has happend to sum1 else on the forum aswell and a full flash solved the problem... only problem I have is that ive searched frew google how many times but no full flash from 0x200000 to 0x400000 ... the forums sposed to have errors whilst trying to upload unless it dnt like 2mb files... could sum1 pls reply if they would be able to send me an 8210 full flash aka MCU+PPM+EEPRM+PMM from 0x200000 to 0x400000 through messenger or any other way.. thanx in advance...

I did understand what you said! Nokiatool will not function in Contact service! Use Eeprom tools to read the phone and then click test! This will tell you the reason for the contact service!!! Just pray to god that it says something about the mcu rather then the cobba!!!;)

eeprom tools gives me the reading "phone not connected" nokia tool usualy does read the phone when in contact service as the contact service is due to no imei being present...

when u write a virgin eeprom to a phone it will display contact service as there is no imei... all u need to do then is run nokia tool and write the new imei to the fone...

my problem is it doesnt recognise that the fones connected... nokia tool says chek mbus cable / failed to initialise local mode...

@Yelder

If you read my previos posts ud see that I stated that both nokia tool and eeprom tools v3.1 dnt detect the fone... yes usualy it shud do what u stated as I've dun the same time and time again but 8210's seem to be abit folly when flashing... not always... but gess same could happen to any fone...

@Gee

thnx for the full flash... gones wrking perfectly... :D part frm the screen keeps fading out :rolleyes: but hey thats the elastomer not the softwear... nokia tool reads the fone without any problems... re-programmed the original IMEI without any complications... thnx again... much appreciated...

Eeprom tools is giving the error due to wrong settings!

At the top right, check the box for RTS on, und uncheck the box for DTR on, make sure you have the correct Com port selected!;)
