nokia 3310 question

anybody come across when trying to read flash version 5.57 tx too high and then cannot prepare phone when using rolis or knok
i wanna backup my flash but i am not having any success and then i was gonna upgrade to 5.87 anyone got any ideas to this problems, the battery is fully charged so no power problem

Make sure the phone is OFF, reconnect the battery to make sure! Clean the contacts on both the cable and the phone, sometimes the 3310's have glue over the contacts! Increase the delay in Rolis to 3, 4, and 5 until it works! Also sometimes the 33xx connection is bad between the phone and battery, try placing the pcb into another phone!;)

i tried your suggestions and it worked fine i backed my phone up v5.57 and flashed v5.87 the phone booted up but when i tried to read the phone with rolis or knok to update the faid it stated cannot initialise local mode i have reflashed back to 5.57 and phone works ok but i thought i would try and read the phone info with rolis and knok on my original which i had never tried before and it cannot read the phone info any ideas the phone works perfect eeprom tools cannot read the phone either

When using rolis try pressing Auto setup! ;)

Yeah, I was about to suggest maybe you have it setup wrong!!!

With eeprom tools, in order to read the phone, tick "RTS On" and untick "DTR on"! Then it will read!;)
