Problem with my added ringtones

Hi! all,

I have added 23 ringtones on my 3310 v4.45 using Ludoz soft.Its cool coz i have 65 ringtones including the composed ones.When i'm playing them,sounds great got no problem.But when when i try to call my phone, it lights on but there's no sound.

-convert rttl to RE format using ludoz soft
-added ringtone on flash using PPMmanager091
-update eeprom by log using tek and b-phreaks soft.

Did anyone experience it?
Can anyone post successful solution or technic?

I added 23 tones and changed a ascending tone of a 3310 V5.13, but i can't get to update the FAID. I've corrected the CRC with PPMmanager but still the same. It worked 100% for the 8210 but not this. Is it because of the V5.13? Can anyone tell me what is the differences between a V4.xx and a V5.xx? And is there another simple way to do it for the V5.xx?

I try to add my Nokia 8250 ringtones using Ringtoneman is succesful added to my 8250 but whenever I try to update FAID using FAID calculator by TEK log it show message " FLS MCU doesn't match flashed MCU" and what does it mean?

-Nokia 8250 V5.04
-Read from phone flash 020000-03D000
-Add ringtones using Ringtoneman( RE.files from another 8250)
-Update faid using TEK Log " fail message above

Please help me I try B-phreaks no help no network.anyone can please advised me

About Tek calc method, not required.

After modificating or adding things in ppm U have to recalc some checksums first.

ppm manager091 by Mr. From_Vanoff is a good tool for that.

Then quick set faid with knok or bpreaks eeprom tools.

As for me there is not 100% 'apropriate' method yeth.
So I do it in my own way without tools, in HexEditor.
I cannot simply tell how to do it that way, sorry for that.

There are tools available which can help U but I have no experiences on them.
The ppm manager091 from Mr. From_Vanoff would seem the best alternative but there are more.
At the Articles area there is some writing about the structure of this *RE ringtone format.

About the resetting problem, I think it is Faid Update.
It tells U the file has correct checksums, the mcu is functioning.
Try to do Quick set Faid in kNok and put phone off/on again.

It might mean U have to get Ur Flash checksums recalculated first.
(ppm manager091)

Or it means NO USE TEK for faid, use kNok or bPreaks eeprom tools etc.
They do the same but in just 1 or 2 button presses.

Sorry, but is it really possible to add ringtones to software 5.47 (3310 with 3315 eeprom) with PPM Manager 0.91 without problems with phone later ?

How can I change RTTL (Norking) ringtone to binary *.RE format ?
I tried to use convert03.exe but whatever I do it always display the same - using possibilies (usage help). I tried that what is in the example, but it does the same thing. :(

Could You tell me how to add ringtones to that software (with converting ringtones to *.RE format) step by step, please ?

I have ever asked these questions like u. The answer I got from StRanger, it worked 100%. That is

1. convert.exe must be used like this:
convert.exe 010 supr "Supreme" < supreme.txt > supreme.re

010 - is toneid, must be unique for each tone

"Supreme" - is tonename, will display on screen

supreme.re - out file, must be used in great mr From_Vanov tool...

2. Read fullflash from your mobile, store copy for backup, open flash in ppmmanager, tools->tonechunk->add one... , select your *.re file(s), then tools->update all crc, then flash into mobile. then use eeprom tools for update faid. that's all

Thank You, basten. Converting ringtone worked ok, but I didn't try putting it into the flash yet. I hope it will work with PPM Manager 0.91. Can anybody tell me, is it working with 3330 ok, too ?
FlashTone corrupted my flash, I had: Contact Service or loosing network (PPM CRC checked by PPM Manager, Faid with Nokia Tool 1.7b by Rolis and Knok22)...
I'll try to put *.RE files into the flash with PPM Manager...

When I'm adding tones with PPM Manager I have 'Contact Service' text on the phone, and Faid update didn't want to help :(

When I'm adding tones with PPM SplitFix 2.7 (RingTone Manager) phone works ok, but it doesn't want to get network :(

Could somebody tell me the best way, step by step, how to correct checksums with loggers ?
Is this the problem ?

I tried to recalculate checksums and correct Faid in Knok22, but it didn't worked too. The problem is the same.

Now I'm using Nokia 3330, but in 3310 I had the same problem.

Can anyone help me how to add ringtones to 3330 without problems ? (And/or some help using loggers.)

I have added 23 tones(that's the max I can get in) with all the recieve tone still available, when I test the tone in the profile menu all tones (63 of them) sounds ok, but when I set some of the tone for that profile, it won't be the same tone that I had set, it'll turn out to be one of those normal tones.
I tried flashing twice with 2 different files but it's still the same. the first time, extra tone 09-20 is not working.
the 2nd time, extra tone 01-10 is not working.
The way I number the tones are:
Extra 01
Extra 02
Extra 03......
..................>
Extra 23
Type 1 (Original)
Type 2 (Original)
............>
Type 35
recieve tone......

And this is the way I did the inserting of extra tones.

1) Use Flashtone205..crack by cyber to insert the extra 23 tones.
2) Use PPMmanager to update CRC of this modified MCU+PPM.
3) Flash MCU+PPM back to phone
4) Update FAID and set factory reset.
Done.
Everything seems ok, network....test of sound...etc
It's only that when I set the tone it either no sound or a original tone.:confused: :confused: :confused:

How to repair this bug???:confused: :confused: :confused:

It's b'coz the have the same toneid.

-convert *rttl to RE using ludoz soft(convert03),
for me i use 0x41---->0x80 for the toneid.
-Using PPMmanager91, open your flashfile,tools--->add ringtone(*RE).You can add 3 tones at the same time,Then save.
-Fix checksum using PPM Splitfix2.7
-Upload the flash to phone suing rolis478b6 or 477.
-Use b-phreaks for the log and -Tek- for calculating the log.
-Use nokiatool034 for the SFS and resetting the phone.

It works 100% for me.I hope this will help to everybody.

i may be wrong here but why dont people use flash tone 2.05 to add ring tones.:confused: i have used it and it seems very easy compared to the steps needed to use other programs. then i just calculate a log file with tek and bphreaks. but as i said i am only new to this so this might be a old method or something along that line:)

I have a question though... can I use this same ppm for other models like 5110, 7110, 6150 etc?

artsky: no, it couldn't be used in different phones. PPM is 'Post programing' software and it's designed to a specific phone and MCU SW version.
But You can get some thing from PPM and put in other phones PPM.

You have to try, I don't know the limit in 5110.
But 5110 has very small flash...

Hmm... probably every converting software will erase the special effects (because it's not in RTTL format).

You have to search... and try...

is it normal for the added ringtones (the file attached by nocdoc)to display the ringtone title and type1 type2 etc? (mixed titles)

my procedure is this:

I have exported an MCU of the 3315 (via ppmmanager) and added it to the file nocdoc posted. then I flash a virgin 3315 eeprom. To my surprise, this procedure didnt display contact service upon boot up. also the unlock procedure of eepromtools didnt work.

after inserting the sim, the phone didnt find network and it restarted. after restart, it was ok!

what do you think happened there?

will the phone I have modified have problems later or I just leave it as is?

I am wondering why there is type1 type2 titles in the ringtone list but when I export the tones using ppmmanager, all titles appear normal.

You shouldn't have any problems later.
The MCU Checksum in PPM was the same as the calculated (and written) in MCU (the MCU wasn't modificated from the original sofware), so this is why it worked ok :-)

Hmm... there could be few things, that the ringtones are visible as Type 1, Type 2, etc...

You can try to change them to the other ones (simmilar) with less characters.
Maybe this will help.

I try to flash with 64 melodies to 3310/3315 fw5.47m.

There is one little problem.
In menu "Tones" is all OK, bud in "Profiles" maximum of viewable tones is 62 (55 original + 7 composite melodies).

If mind to you, that you can't change melodies in Profiles, you must manage with 62 melodies :(

I 've tried to add one tone(Chocobo a cuty one) it's work but have no signal and always reset .

This is my way to do....
1.Convert from RTTL by converter(use id 0x41)
2.add by PPMmanager091...
3.flash by Rolis Flasher 4.78 ...
4.update faid by NokiaTool ...

What I have to do more to get it work ? ... :confused:

It can do in PPM Manager 0.91 (menu TOOL > Update all PPM CRC).

to Kenny Lee: Download some hex-editor, like Hex Workshop (www.bpsoft.com) go to the 4. byte in the ringtone. You will see something like this in Hex Workshop: 00 00 00 2C.
0x2C means 44 decimal, this is tone ID. Change this value. You can use simple windows built in calculator in sciencific mode to convert decimal numbers to hex. 44 means not the 44th tone! Watch this.

Isn't there a counter somewhere, which sets how many ringtones the PPM has? Because in 6210 the ringtones are in PPM.
It may be in MCU ?!

You simply add the ringtones, and that's all ???

Can I add ring tones to 3310 with PPM E. There r many languages. I tried all methods of this forum but it is only one result - CONTACT SERVICE. Can I remove some languages from PPM. Is this important (how many lang. in PPM)?

2.tones->tone chunk->export to melody files...->save tones
3.open flash with my PPM E.
4.tones->tone chunk->import to melody files...->select the first file just exported
5.update all PPM CRC`s
6.flash this file with Knok
7.getting CONTACT SERVICE :)

hi all ive made a custom 3310 v5.57B but when it gets rung it dont play tones? or if it does say if i choose shooting star it will play tell it to my heart ect... its weird could someone plz give me info thx.
But the thing is that i dont get is why is this the only fone thats done it to me so far ive made a 3210 file, 3330 8250 but this 3310 file is the only one that does this problem could sum1 take a look thx.

i used flashtone v2.10 to make the tone sin the flash.

there are 64 changed tones and then 7 custom ones in the flash. plz can someone help me thx.
