if u use kill faid thru genolite/chkkiller/nfader, FAID and chksum updates arent necessary.

No, you do not have to reset Full Factory Settings!
But... some things in the phone get messed up from time to time, such as the default settings for the reception area of the phone! I would normally use this function to solve "No Signal", especially for the 33xx! As a habit now though, I reset it everytime, it doesn't do any harm, but you lose your received ringtones and operater logo!;)

I know about faid and mcu checks but lately after flashing my 5210 i discovered that send tone in the composer menu is not displayed also the screen saver time out is only 5 and 20 seconds and after reseting factory settings all menus are back!!! I don't know the menus should be a matter of mcu not the eeprom!!!
and what does "reset UI" do???
thanx
