Can anyone tell me what I should do to find the software version of a nokia 402 (orange version of the 5110) I've tried the usual *#0000# but it doesn't work???

Use data cable and nokia tool.

you seem like a man in the know.... where can I get it from.. I've looked at the tools on nfree download page but I can't get them to work... I have windows XP. Couls you post a good working flash program that works with XP.

XP, god I hate that software:mad: anyway try this file and you may need to D/L userport as well (don't ask me about such program as it's for 2000/XP which I don't use). Also not to sure but try *#9999* as I think this was for the older nokia orange phones.

That code spells warr0anty. Its used for checking when the phone was manufactured/repaired etc.
Doesn't work on all Nokias.

Yes that I know but the guy is looking for his software version not when his phone was made or if it has been repaired (it works on all DCT-3,DCT-4 phones and maybe DCT-2 not got one so can't check).

Yes, you're right, it doesn't show software version.
As previously suggested, Nokia Tool or even logomanager (!) would do the trick.
