Old SMS retrieval

Hi!

I would appreciate if anybody could assist me in finding a proper way to retrieve some (extremely important for me!!) SMS which I have deleted.
I have a 8310.

I think...

Deleting a msg is kinda Shift+Delete on a file, that means Directly to the PONR ( Point Of No Return ) !



thus, I don't think ur msg is retrieveable !


Let's hope that I'm not RIGHT !

Yeah thats right once you delete it BYEBYE SMS

once i was playing around with my 3310 full backup file using HexWorkShop...

I found some messages I already deleted located in the eeprom ! also some deleted reminders too !

they were repeated more than once !


yeah yeah, I know.. msgs r saved in the sim card.. but, MR.Judge, I Swear, I saw them with my own eyes... hey, I do wear glasses !

I hope it's not too late to remember such a thing !

I'll make a FuBu today n make sure if the msgs still there !

Yeah I know I have recovered phone numbers from a full flash before. they were saved in the phone memory and were deleted by mistake. I opened the file in hex workshop and searched for names that I had been told and most of the numbers were there.

But as you said DCT-4 NO HOPE YET....

I spoke with a friend yesterday, who actually DID RETRIEVED all SMS from a 8310, my previous one, which I had sold it to him....
He even read to me some of my old SMS which of course I had deleted prior to giving away my cell phone...!!
So, there MUST be a way to get these SMS back!!
Surely, I will find this guy and get more info on how he managed that on my old phone.
Stay in touch for any new developments on this!!!

In the meantime if you have any hint as to how I can manage this, please let me know.... I am desperate to retrieve these sms back.... !

that sounds to me that you had moved them to ARCHIVE or MY FOLDER and had forgotten about them, your inbox/outbox were empty so you thought they were gone. that could be the reason your mate read them out.

Of course not!! I certainly had deleted those messages... Moreover, I had given my cell to a friend for a couple of days, and when I got it back it was totally empty!!
BUT, when that friend of mine retrieved those messages, he brought up some that were send from the person who used my phone for a couple of days!!!!
I'll keep you posted for any further news!!

Finally I got it done!!

With just an infrared port and a nokia suite, you can navigate through all the messages that have ever been sent or rcvd using this 8310!!!

It's amazing!!
