Repair courses

Im intertested in carrying out mobile phone repairs and i have just graduated from my Enigineering degree in computer systems. Does anyone know any courses that i can go on in order to learn repairing techniques??

Don't be silly to pay that much money for repai courses, if you need any help, ask me and I'll tell you how to fix them.

You'll probably find that you can easily take any Nokia phone (excluding the 7110) apart to pieces and put it together with no past experience and no trouble.

Learn yourself.. it's the best way, believe me.

Visit the Hardware section and read about Mobile Phone Repair Books posted on 26-05-03.

These are easy to understand, full color and full of troubleshooting tips and techniques of different GSM phones.
If you decide to buy the whole set of 18 Books it's less than 200U$D.

These books coupled with the expert advice from this forum is sure enough to jump start you into this industry.

Hi buddys,I have an idea I know that there is an institution in GuangDong China they are recognise by international brands of mobile phones manufacturer examples Nokia,Motorola,Siemens,Samsung etc.
established since 199X till now.Students there learn from hardware to software.Even pager included in their teaching.Courses take about 3 mths to complete.At the same time carry lots of money with you,so you can buy those servicing equipments you will needs or accessories.Believe me no other corner in this world match their price.Go with 1 luggage,came home with XX luggages:D :D :D .

I know I shouldn't mess around with thing I don't know much about, but what I would do is I'd buy some phones which are fucked up, so nobody can't fix 'em. I think you could get them for free, or very cheap from some phone store. Then you could look around inside the phones with no fear you'll break them, because they are already broken :). The phones aren't changed that much from 3210 or 3310. So you'll know what they look like ;)

Thanks for the info, i know the people from GuangDong (and from China in general) are the masters of the mobile tech!....and the masters of the low prices! (i got an offer for the Griffin box for 180 Dollars! ;) ).....

I am really interested in taking a course, i have looked for the JIC course, it´s well recognized, but it seems a bit costly...

i would prefer to take a course in China because as you say..i can get all the neccesary equipment there (hakko, sunko, and so on) at the best price...

Can you provide furhter info on the people you are referring? do they have a web page? course lenght an pricing? etc..
