NokDok,
Do you know how to add starttone in a 3410??
I've been using eleoson's sectone, but i want to do it the hard way.
I know that are a lot threads about adding starttone to 3310, but the 3410 is kinda different.
Thx

Hi,
Tone start locations are definied in a table with records.
1st step is to find 'a' tone, no matter what tone.
Try this on a 3410-306 with hex '00A70C0B', which should lead U to location 0009FEA8.
Add 20.0000 hex to this location. (> 0029FEA8.)
Search '0029FEA8', the location from where that certain tone was called from.
This will lead U to the tone address table of all mcu tones. (> 000A0408.)
Now U can make a list of all the tones available, and find out which is Ur startup tone.
Tone Table at: 002A0408, Nr of Entries: 040, End: 002A0607
(01) 002A0408 0029FEA8 (len 004.) (tone 00A70C0B)
(02) 002A0410 0029FEAC (len 008.) (tone 0004FF0C0BC046C0)
(03) 002A0418 0029FEB4 (len 008.) (tone 0004FF3E0BC046C0)
If U want to have some other tone, U can adjust the address table to point to Ur new tone, which U place at some unused area somewhere.
I hope it was clear.
Good Luck

make sure u remove all the 0A 01 and 0A FE...
If u want to do it the hard way, open the fls in a hex editor, and follow NokDoc's instructions...

These HEX values are for vibration.
If u don't want vibration with ur startup tone, just remove every occurence of 0A1 and 0A FE

you don't have to do all this procedure. what i do is: just search for the starting hex string 0002FD51250B46C000, select 0x22 bytes and replace it with your custom tone.
Full default startup tone for ALL nokias:
0002FD51250B46C00001FFA70C0B46C0000997058B0595058D0593058F0591059105
